Lest We Forget. Today, We Remember.
At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we pause to observe two minutes of silence and pay tribute to the brave Canadians who have served, and continue to serve, our nation in times of war, conflict, and peace.
We honour the over 118,000 Canadians who made the ultimate sacrifice and remember the extraordinary courage, dedication, and resilience of all our Veterans.
We owe our freedom and way of life to their service. The crimson poppy is our enduring symbol of this promiseโa pledge to never forget their sacrifice.
At 11:00 a.m. (local time), please observe two minutes of silence.
โThey shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.โ
We Will Remember Them. Nous nous souviendrons dโeux.
